Expect? I suppose they're ever hopeful but nothing ever comes close to Laser
or ever will.
The original Laser established critical mass in the 70's and we just keep
building on that base - there are fleets everywhere in the world already and
most of these other name-ripoffs are just passing fancies.
The Laser builders have the right to use the Laser name on any boat they
please, it seems. They hope by putting the name "Laser" before the real name
of the boat something magic will happen.
But none of them are Lasers except the ones on the actual Laser hull -
Radial, 4.7 etc. Even the 4.7 has pretty much died out. But there will
always be great racing in all corners of the globe for Lasers and Radials.
Stick with the Real Thing!
