What is the state of Laser match racing? Is there an organized series?
Should there be? Many of us in South Florida have enjoyed some informal
regattas, and wondered if there's support for an expanded program (if
there's not one already) I'm seeking input.
Would you travel 3-4 hours to a match racing regatta?
Would you prefer short (15 minute) races vs. longer ones (30 mins)?
Any course preferences (AC all marks to starboard, butterfly, something more
creative?)
Would you be more interested if the host club and members supplied the boats
for a round-robin series?
Would you and your club be willing to provide boats for your own regatta (in
theory)?
Any other thoughts/ideas or people with experience in this?
