 Island
 2.  Peter Commette  or Dick Tillman were your heros   3.  mast climbing
 contests   4.  District vs. district land yacht races in Kansas etc.  Any
 additions? 
           5. You attended the SPORT regattas.
        6. you wore sweatshirts and waterbottles weighing 10 kilos.
        7. You raced against Ding Schoonmaker in his One Off pure white deck 
Laser.\ 
        8. You remember the slalom races in Frisco.
        9. Weight divisions were common.
        10. Elvstrom sails were all there was.
        11. Wooden tillers were fine.
        12. the biggest gear controversy was between the center swivel jam 
cleat and side cleats.
        13. Nobody knew about rocking, pumping or kinetics. (Except the first 
hotshots- Commette, Lihan, Buchan e.g)
        14. Gary Jobson was hot.
        15. Robert Scheidt was a twinkle in his daddy's eye.
