There was also a woman who won a North Americans (1980?) I attended on Lake Michigan. I think her name was Sue Pegal, not sure. It was a very light wind regatta, I think we had four races. She dominated. I bet if you tracked every Laser race held in North America For a year, lightweights would win more than their 'fare' share.
