We have been working on this project for some time and expect it to bear
fruit soon.
A brief history:
MBS One Design had a license to sell Laser and Sunfish trademarked. They
had some nice stuff, but this relationship deteriorated some number of years
ago. I don't know the exact story of whys and wherefores.
Vanguard initiated a relationship with a company called Zuse in the
beginning of 1998 to create and sell licensed Laser, Sunfish and Vanguard
logo merchandise. This relationship never worked out to either party's
satisfaction, it was not a good match.
We have recently since developed a relationship with a new trademark
merchandise vendor. The gear is still in the design phase, and we are still
making decisions on what to offer. Some other details have yet to be nailed
down, too, BUT - the moral of the story is that you will soon be able to buy
nice stuff with the Laser logo on it.
If you have any suggestions for gear beyond the usual suspects (fleece hats,
jackets and vests, sweatshirts, baseball hats, t-shirts, polo shirts, belts,
etc), please let me know.
