Dear list,

One way to facilitate ordering incoming email, either manually or by
establishing filter rules in an email client is to define certain Subject
lines - labels, like the "$$$$$" suggested previously for the commercial but
very useful CD_ROM.

The initiator of a topic or item has to add the proper labels or this is
done by the list administrator.
Perhaps this can all be automated with a script that identifies the keywords
in
a posting and then uses a rule-base to channel the posting to the proper
Track.
If some time can be devoted to improving the List and the Archives so that
it is more
user friendly, then it will less friction among the subscribers with
different interests.

The bits that are added when replying or forwarding must then be removed so
that messages in the same thread will be filtered like the first.

Being able to group discussions on racing rules, regattas, tips and trick,
standards, the class association, regional events, fleets, etc can then be
saved, removed, read or answered according to the interest one has.

To start, here some suggestions that can be complemented and re-posted
regularly;
