I'd like to pick up on the bickering point.

I find the list an extremely interesting and stimulating source of info. 

For my part, I race an old Laser at club level in the UK. I'm never going
to win the nationals (or even enter for that matter) but I love to keep up
on all the discussions.

The subject matter is usually very interesting, but the bickering and
bitching is a real turn off. If ever I am tempted to unsubscribe it is
when I read a pointed email. Bitching may give the sender a buzz, but I
bet I'm not alone in saying its a bore for the rest of us.

Perhaps we need some more of Dennis Olsen's Californian poetry to keep us
light and fluffy.

Must go now - off for a sail!

I am somewhat dismayed at the bickering and bitching at times, but then
I head to the boat and go sailing and it doesn't seem to matter as
much.  I enjoy hearing/seeing others views queries and opinions whether
or not I agree with them or not.
