I think the Laser Class Association should buy the attention of Lasers owners
to be members, offering something more than a Laser World Magazine and a
Class Rules Book. There are a lot people sailing Laser or just desiring to
own one that are not affiliate because they have no knowledge of the
association or they think be member is for racers only or it's too expensive.
Why not give a nice Laser sticker for the member's car, like those old
"Sail a Laser" or a T-shirt or hat. Something that help us members promote
the class.
People will ask: What is Laser? or Where did you get this sticker? (T-shirt,
hat)
Then you're going to say: Joining the Laser Class.
I would like to have a nice sticker on the back of my car and show to
everybody that I sail a Laser. (actually, I have one, those "Laser" names
that goes in the cockpit on the side of centerboard trunk).
