I disagree, Lainie. It is this type of exposure that, while it costs the
Class nothing, can inspire non-members to participate more, and eventually
join. I compare it to allowing non-members (ILCA and yacht club) to
participate in our (Cedar Point) frostbiting program. We end up with 2-5
people per year joining the full-year program. That may not sound like much,
but none of our other fleets can match that consistantly. We also charge
non-ILCA members more $$ to sail in our regattas, and twist their arms
throughout the season.
I think inclusion is more effective than exclusion.
