Hi,
I broke the lower pintle assembly on the rudder of my Laser 2. Both the pin
that maintains the spacing for the rudder blade and the stainless steel
strip to supports the pin have failed. The Laser 2 pintle assemble looks
very similar to that of a laser.
Are there replacement parts available anywhere to repair a rudder head, or
must I have someone try to weld the pintle back together? With the price of
a new Laser 2 rudder head ($279 Cdn), repairing rather replacing is by far
my first option.
