Hi Laser Listers,
Serious question time. After perusing the excellent Laser FAQ site, I
thought I'd check out my serial number. The problem is, it's not there on
my transom. My sail number is 120130. The only other i.d. on the craft is
a small metal tag on the aft wall of the cockpit. It's mostly worn away,
but I can easily make out the number '20130' stamped into the metal. Now
I'm really confused - where's the '1' gone?? Or, horrors, could it be
that I bought a boat purporting to be 120130 when it is in fact a lot
older at 20130??? But the boat's in good shape - bright red in colour -
looks right for 1985 (when 120130 would have been built). Does anyone own
/ ever owned either 20130, or 120130!!! Or am I missing something? Help
please...
